What is S.O.G.G.?

Surrey Organic Gardening Group (SOGG) is a collection of people who enjoy many aspects of gardens and gardening. We hold regular monthly meetings, often with guest speakers, and also arrange group visits to public gardens and other places of interest.

We include all levels of experience, from highly expert to complete beginner: one of the best things about SOGG is the way everyone is prepared to help other members with advice, hints and ideas. We are a friendly, sociable group and are always glad to welcome new members.

SOGG is affiliated to Garden Organic, the UK 's major organic gardening organisation, and to the Soil Association the leading environmental charity promoting sustainable, organic farming and championing human health. We can provide many leaflets and other information on organic gardening, organic agriculture and the environment.

We have been operating since 1997. In 2004 the Epsom Group of the Soil Association merged with us. Most of our members live in the North East Surrey / South West London area. Our meetings are held in Carshalton.
